Important Notice

Our cooperation with the Australian Department of Home Affairs in Nigeria is coming to an end. The last appointments at our centres in Abuja and Lagos will take place on the 31st of May 2019.

From 3rd of June 2019, all visa applications to Australia will be managed by a new external provider.

Please consult the website of the Department of Home Affairs to find the relevant location and procedure for your country.

Application submission

From Monday 7 January 2019, the Australian Visa Application Centres (AVAC) in Abuja and Lagos will become Australian Biometric Collection Centres (ABCC). You will no longer be able to lodge a paper visa application for Australia at these centres in Nigeria and are advised to submit your visa application via ImmiAccount.

From this date, the centres in Abuja and Lagos will operate as biometric collection centres for those who have received a letter from the Department of Home Affairs advising them of the requirement to enrol biometric identifiers following submission of an application to the Department. Applicants must book an appointment in order to enrol their biometric identifiers . Further details of the services offered by the Australian Biometric Collection Centres in Abuja and Lagos will be available on this website on 7 January 2019.

The Abuja and Lagos ABCCs will serve two primary functions:

  1. Collection of biometrics (photograph and fingerprints) from Australian visa applicants requested in writing to provide them; and
  2. Information services for pre-lodgement enquiries through the TLScontact call centre on +27 (0)12 472 3800
